Crusader Kings III: All under heaven is out and with that I had the pleasure to make all the domicile assets and illustrations for it!
This is Crusader Kings expansion into Asia, where one can finally experience gameplay. Probably the biggest CK3 DLC to date and I'm happy to have contributed to it!
Making these feels like assembling a small miniature community and it is very nice to see it come together in game. I've been trying to give them as much character as possible and added an Asian touch to our medieval manuscript artstyle. The goal is to use not only the subjects from that era and place for inspiration but also for it to be heavily influenced by the mediums used at the time. Ink and watercolor are mediums I hold very dear and I have been having such a blast getting to emulate those here.
Storytelling and clarity is key here, exaggerated scale, emotion and proportions all help to achieve this.
