Awakening - Illustration and concept art
My working process along with the music that inspired this piece.
Made in Photoshop Cs6 with a Wacom Cintiq 16. Both the concepts and illustration is made by me.
I did this illustration based of a wonderful piece of music called "Fyg's Awakening" by the talented Lucas Egnér, who studied game-music at Hjo Folkhögskola. There we were tasked to listen to music from the music students and interpret it with our own illustrations. So I did this one and it still holds up as one of my favorite pieces as it really depicts my favorite subject that is: nature. This illustration is also showing my aspirations to grow further and become better at my crafts. After Hjo I took to TGA in search of mastering 3D and other aspects of game art in addition to this, my background as a 2D-artist and illustrator.
